The City of Lynchburg and Appalachian Power will begin a Main Street Renewal Project on September 16. Construction will begin at 8th Street and move to 12th. We will post updates to our Facebook page, and updates will be posted to www.RenewLYH.com. We will do everything we can to minimize the disruption to our patients. Thank you for your patience during the construction.
Become a Patient
Free Clinic of Central Virginia provides expert care with superior treatment results to patients at all points in their care from diagnosis to treatment and ongoing wellness.
Your gift will help provide medical, dental and behavioral health services in our community. Our work is only possible with generous support from those who share our commitment to making health care available to all.
Become a Volunteer
Volunteers keep the “FREE” in The Free Clinic. Volunteer support keeps costs low, enabling us to provide quality medical, dental and behavioral health care for those who might otherwise go without care.
Free Clinic of Central Virginia has a Centralized Call Center (appointment phone line) to find the best day and time for your visit. Your phone call is very important to us.
There are many ways that you can donate to the Free Clinic of Central Virginia.
You may make a secure online donation to the Free Clinic at Network for Good.
You may mail us your check or credit card information using this Mail-in Form.
You may want to consider donating appreciated stock. If you have owned the stock for more than a year and the value has appreciated, donating stock shares directly to the Free Clinic accomplishes two purposes: you will support the Free Clinic and you will avoid paying the capital gains tax on the stock which you would have been responsible for if you have sold the stock, kept the money and written a check to the Free Clinic.
To make a stock donation, please have your financial advisor contact Christina Delzingaro, Executive Director at 434-847-5866 ext.15 or email at email@example.com
Honoring or memorializing someone with a donation to the Free Clnic is a meaningful way to recognize the impact that person has had on your life. Some of our supporters have asked family and friends to make donations to the Clinic in lieu of flowers when a loved one has passed away. Others have highlighted a special occasion such as an anniversary or birthday. Each year several supporters choose to make a donation during the holidays recognizing colleagues, clients, their physician or dentist or their child's teachers. We list all honorees in our annual report.
Upon receipt of memorial and honorarium gifts, the Free Clinic will send a note to the recipient if the donor provides an address. For gifts that come directly to the Clinic at your suggestion, we will provide you with the donor's name and contact information so you can acknowledge the gift.
Many employers match a portion or all of their employees' charitable donations. If you provide us with information about your employers matching gift program, we are happy to complete any necessary paperwork.
If you are interested in accepting Free Clinic referrals to your primary care or specialized medical practice by providing free or reduced-fee services for Free Clinic patients please contact Medical Clinic Coordinator Sylvia Smith at 434-847-5866 ext. 17 or firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have a dental practice and would be willing to see Free Clinic patients, contact Dental Clinic Coordinator Wynn Burtner at 434-847-5866 ext. 33 or email@example.com.
Since many of our evening volunteers come to the clinic to start their shifts straight from their daytime jobs or school and don’t have time to eat dinner, the Free Clinic provides dinners donated by local restaurants, caterers, civic groups and individuals. We are always looking for new "staff stuffers." It's a fun group project for students, churches or civic groups and a meaningful way for local restaurants and caterers—whose employees are often Free Clinic patients—to support the hard work of our volunteers and say thank you for keeping our community healthy. If you are interested in donating a dinner for our volunteers, contact Christina Delzingaro, Executive Director at 434-847-5866 ext. 15 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
